As Under 12 teams playing in the Under 13 divisions of the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association’s PMSL league, not only did the Columbia United 95 Boys Elite and Columbia United 95 Girls Elite both win their divisions during league play but they both went on to make Columbia United FC history by being the State Champions!  Under the coaching expertise of Columbia United Academy Director Coach, Greg Vallee, and supported by coaches Joel Smith and Clay Patrick, both teams now advance to the Region III President Cups in Columbus, GA in June where there will be competition from 11 states. Congratulations to both teams!

Columbia United FC hosted approximately 500 players and families at its Academy End of Season Celebration on Monday, May 5, 2008, at East Lake Community Church. 

The Academy had many great successes over the past 2 seasons.  Academy Director Greg Vallee highlighted the accomplishments and distributed team Leadership and Coach’s Player of the Year Awards to players, as well as Coach of the Year awards.  It was a great evening!  Click continue for a listing of the award winners.

A combined group of girls representing the three U11 teams won the Finalist Trophy in the U11 Red Bracket at the 10^th Annual James Island Soccer Festival on January 26-27, 2008.
