The Columbia United 97 Blue team won the St. Patrick’s Day Cup’s Green Division played March 14th and 15th. Paced by a very stout team defense, led by goalkeeper Charlotte Dover’s three shut outs and timely scoring by Bailey Lewter, the team was able to keep the Cup home in Columbia. The girls defeated MPSC 2-0 in the Championship match.
CUFC 97 Blue 2008 Carolina Cup Finalists The CUFC 97 Blue Girls team lost in the finals of the 2008 Carolina Cup to Lake Norman of North Carolina 1-0. It was a very spiritted game that could have gone either way. The 97 Blue team only surrendered two goals in the entire tournament. Congratulations on an excellent showing!
