For our U16 season we moved up to the SC State Challenge League which is the highest level of league play in the state. We qualified for the SC Challenge State Cup but were, unfortunately, eliminated in the first round by the eventual champions, Bridge FC Gold. The highlight of our season was probably our 0-0 tie against our sister Columbia United U16 Elite team. Also, at the Carolina Cup we were asked to play up in the U17 division. We defeated three U17 teams in group play and the semifinals before losing in the championship match to a very good Lake Norman Eclipse team. Chelsea Mizzell led the team in scoring during 2008 with 8 goals while Kacie Samson had the most assists with 4.
