A message from Sheriff Leon Lott...
"For many years, I have had the pleasure of supporting Columbia United FC with deputies to coach, to advise or to support events and players. I am excited to see the growth of the club and the efforts of so many to provide positive team oriented environments that are helping to build the future leaders of our communities. Team sports are so important to the development of our children and Columbia United’s coaches and staff are providing environments that teach life skills that will keep our children on the right path. German Exchange Program 2009
2009 German Exchange Program
Every year a team from Columbia United is selected to participate in the club’s annual International Youth Soccer Cultural Exchange with the German soccer club 1 FFC Montabaur. This year the German U16 Girls’ team is visiting Columbia for a week during Spring Break following up the U16 girls who visited Germany last summer. Next summer a U16 Boys’ team will visit during the summer starting that exchange process. Each year the Columbia United and FFC Montabaur delegation play for the honor of Sir. Alfred Mueller’s Cup. Next week the cup match will be held at Columbia United’s BB&T Youth Soccer Complex on Thursday April 9th, starting at 1:30 pm. All Columbia United FC and YMCA Recreational Youth Soccer families and friends are invited to attend this match! So if you are interested in coming out to watch our homegrown Columbia players take on their European counterparts the game starts at 1:30pm. For more photos, click German Exchange Program
